Gordon B. McMillan & Associates Inc. (“McMillan”) makes available for your use on this website (the “Site”) information, images, documents (collectively the “Materials”) and various services (the “Services”) subject to the terms and conditions set forth in this document (the “Terms of Use”). By accessing this Site, you agree to the Terms of Use. If you breach any of the Terms of Use, your authorization to use this Site automatically terminates and you must immediately destroy any Materials downloaded or printed from this Site. Any rights not expressly granted in these Terms of Use are reserved.

Privacy

McMillan is committed to protecting individuals’ right to privacy. By submitting your personal information to McMillan via the Site, you are expressly consenting to McMillan’s use of your personal information in accordance with the terms and conditions listed in this section.

We use the personal information that you submit to us to provide you with the information you request, to contact you about news at McMillan, and to obtain internal website tracking information that will assist us in developing our business and marketing strategies. If you apply for a position, we will use your personal information to determine your suitability for a position at McMillan. Jurisdiction

This Site (excluding linked sites) is controlled by McMillan from its offices within the Province of Ontario, Canada. By accessing this Site, you and McMillan agree that all matters relating to your access to, or use of, this Site shall be governed by the applicable statutes and laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada, without regard to the conflicts of laws principles. You and McMillan agree and hereby submit to the exclusive personal jurisdiction and venue of the Courts of Ontario and Canada with respect to any and all legal matters.

Email Communications

Any emails and files transmitted with them are confidential and intended solely for the use of the named addressee. If you have received an email in error, you should not disseminate, distribute, or copy it; please notify the sender immediately and delete the message from your system. Please check emails and any attachments for the presence of viruses. McMillan accepts no liability for any damage caused by any virus transmitted by emails.

Accessible Customer Service Plan
Providing Goods and Services to People with Disabilities

Gordon B. McMillan and Associates Inc. is committed to excellence in serving all customers including people with disabilities.

We do not have any Assisted Devises on the premises other than an entrance ramp and an elevator to ensure those with physical disabilities can access our premises.

Communication

We will communicate with people with disabilities in ways that take into account their disability.

Service animals

We welcome people with disabilities and their service animals. Service animals are allowed on the parts of our premises that are open to the public.

Support persons

A person with a disability who is accompanied by a support person will be allowed to have that person accompany them on our premises.

Notice of temporary disruption

In the event of a planned or unexpected disruption to services or facilities for customers with disabilities at 541 Sussex Drive, McMillan will notify customers promptly. This clearly posted notice will include information about the reason for the disruption, its anticipated length of time, and a description of alternative facilities or services, if available.

The notice will be placed at on all doors that access the premises.

Training

McMillan will provide training to employees, volunteers and others who deal with the public or other third parties on our behalf.

All staff will be provided with training on the following topics at their orientation:

Training will include:

  1. An overview of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 and the requirements of the customer service standard
  2. McMillan’s plan related to the customer service standard.
  3. How to interact and communicate with people with various types of disabilities
  4. How to interact with people with disabilities who use an assistive device or require the assistance of a service animal or a support person
  5. What to do if a person with a disability is having difficulty in accessing McMillan’s goods and services

Staff will also be trained when changes are made to your accessible customer service plan.

Feedback process

Customers who wish to provide feedback on the way McMillan provides goods and services to people with disabilities can e-mail our Vice President - Operations, Dawn Kadlec at dkadlec@mcmillan.com. All feedback, including complaints, will be addresses by our executive team. Customers can expect to hear back in 2 working days.

Modifications to this or other policies

Any policy of McMillan’s that does not respect and promote the dignity and independence of people with disabilities will be modified or removed.
